Dear Friends, We hope our email finds you well in these difficult times. Unfortunately due to the current regulations, Malik’s Bar, as many of you may already know, is currently closed. Therefore, our program cannot take place there until the restrictions are eased. Despite this, Come Over Chez Malik’s invited Jasmin Werner to present one work from her current research on overseas Filipino workers and transnational networks at the Seemannsmission, Hamburg-Altona. The work ‘Schloss der Republik Burj Khalifa OFW I’ will be shown there between Saturday, the 5th of December 2020 and Sunday, the 17th of January 2021. Due to the current precautions, the work will be visible only for the sea workers who stay at the Seemannsmission, the local working team, and the guests of the Seemannsmission Hotel rooms. Jasmin Werner’s project for Come Over Chez Malik's also includes an artist book, in collaboration with graphic designer Max Scholl. Her project will be available and accessible through the publication as well.
